Tasting notes – an excellent classic Italian style Super Tuscan red blend. It’s called a Super Tuscan blend because any grapes that are traditionally grown outside of Tuscany, Italy, they are known as Super Tuscan grapes. With an even blend of Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon, we experience the best of both worlds together. The Sangiovese grapes are grown in the Sierra Foothills region, which can get pretty warm in the summertime. The good news is, that lends to a full-bodied wine that is rich with darker colors and more body than a typical Sangiovese Now add the dryness and solid tannins of the Cabernet Sauvignon, and the two worlds beautifully collide.
